growth

so it was weird, like i was done w/ finals and should've been feeling better but i found myself like more frustrated and this need to like understand/study/know the ins/outs of the whole bible...!!! yeah...and i caught myself seeing God as this textbook or and seeing my study application bible as like the cliff notes to God and i had to like read everything, figure everything out, know what in the world all the hidden meanings, background, history, so did Moses REALLY mean...AUGH...and it was driving me luney...and i caught myself sorta facing life in the same way recently, like i had to figure out my behavior, like why am i behaving the way i do, what in the past is causing me to do what i do, and likewise for others as well and i found myself approaching God in much the same way...so that was wed.

thurs: something interesting happened...
so every sat we meet for bible study and now we regularly meet every other thurs for those who want to commit more to the group. we've announced that whoever wants to come can come to this and til now its pretty much been the 6/7 of us who come, the 6/7 of us who pretty much run the sat nite event. last week, for the first time we had it over at my place and 10 people showed up w/ a few others wanting to but had other plans last minute...
so what does this mean...hm...all i know is that the time until now was definitely a time for the 6/7 of us to bond, come together, build trust, getting to know each other...and now, its time to see if we can share that trust/love w/ new people...
in a sense the family is growing.

sat: something interesting happened as well...
we hit over 20 for the 2nd consecutive week and if we include the 5 people visiting us from malaysia, it would have been 28 yesterday. and b/c we had the guys from malaysia join us, we met in the sanctuary again, the 2nd time to do so, the 1st time being after one of the guys in our group got baptized. and yesterday, our worship leader gave the message, the guy that got baptized translated, one of the girls gave the opening prayer, so all i pretty much did was translate the prayer and give the closing prayer and the announcements at the end...it was really cool:)
