baptism & hike

what an awesome awesome weekend!!!
1. baptism - saturday was just incredible, truly something amazing. we gathered sat at our usual small group time at the 1st floor of our church. there is a large room and that night was packed. the youth ministry usually meets there but was able to make arrangements w/ them to hold a special baptism service. we started w/ the usual dinner, some songs and we had the baptism. we then went upstairs into the sanctuary for the teaching time and it was really cool. what a night!
2. the hike - we did a 1-hr hike, took 2 cable cars and a bus ride to go up to arima onsen. it was my first time and to my surprise it was almost everyone's first time there. we laughed most of the time just really enjoying ourselves. the weather was cloudy but at least it didnt rain. the onsen was nice and we had a lot of good food. we started the day at 9:30 and by the time we all headed home after dinner it was yeah, about 9:30 but boy did we live out that day to its fullest. a very successful weekend.
