the PLAN

ok, so today im taking a little break, intermission from the korea trip...like i was saying sooo much has been happening that im afraid by the time im done posting all the korean pics up im going to be so far gone that i wont be able to catch up...so

random thing on youtube the other day listening to this australian guy teaching guitar and i put the opening intro down...if you didnt know it was for a guitar lesson, youll think it came straight out of a sermon:

first of all what i wanna tell ya is that you gotta develop a plan, where do you wanna finish up, where am i going w/ this thing, you have to see where you wanna be first, start w/ the end in mind, what do you wanna get out of it, once you know that then everything else tends to fall into place, you gotta think about that everyday, why am i doing this, there must be an end goal, a reason, set yourself a goal, a target, once you set that target up, youll find it easier to hit that target, if you havent got a target, youre going everywhere mate, youre not going in a straight direction hitting that target, youre just all over the joint, so you need a plan, you plan to fail, you fail the plan.

another snippit from an interview w/ rob bell in answer to how you feel about people labelling you as an emergent church:

if you are serious about what is central to the christian faith which is the endless hard questioning about what does it mean to be the people of Jesus here and now in this place in this time, what does it mean to be the hands and feet in this city in this day and age, thats not a conversation that is new or exclusive to emergent, thats a conversation that must endlessly be had w every community and every generation and if thats what theyre talking about great but if its some sort of group over here who believe they somehow stumbled upon the keys to everything and everyone else is clueless thats just simply not helpful.

may your days be frutiful w/ God's endless love
