my purpose for this trip was to visit my cousin mimi who was vacationing w/ her fiance guga before getting married next august in hawaii on 8/8/08. i used to go over to their place over summer break when they lived in palo alto, near san francisco but now she lives in LA and works at the staples center as ticketing manager. it was really cool to meet up w/ her as i only get to see her about once a year if that and when we do its only for a short time. and this also gave me a good excuse to go and see my friends in tokyo.

as mimi and guga had their own schedules going to hakone, nikko and kyoto, this was our only time to spend dinner together but im glad we were able to hook up. their family actually played a crucial role in me coming to know Jesus so they have a very special place in my heart. i love you guys.

all in all a very successful trip, vacation, new years! time spent w/ friends and family. and this time, i usually stay w/ hershel when im in tokyo but i stayed w/ yusuke as he was in new york over the break and that was a blessing as well as i got to know him staying up late each night talking/praying. thanks, yusuke!
and thanks, minako for making all the dinner arrangements and stuff to make sure i'll have a good time in tokyo. couldn't have done it w/o you.
and man, it was good to see you, hershel. he's like my brother. he is my brother. the thing was i didnt know he was going to be in town so soon from new york and i was bummed this time around b/c i came all the way to tokyo and not see him, but sure enough, there he was in the lounge on sunday!
so whats in store for 2008...? hmmm...
school, work, church, relationships
school: i'll be starting seminary from april. this is already set.
work: i'll be signing my contract w/ them on thursday, set to start in feb, but as i'm right now planning to work on the weekends, this might conflict w/ church.
church: i'm still processing this whole thing.
relationships: i'm still growing and learning in this area as well, both guy-guy and guy-girl, especially the latter.
i guess one out of four's not bad...
may we continue to surrender our agendas and live only for you, God;
may we continue to be thankful for the blessings you already pour out on us as we pray that you continue to bless the things we do;
may you continue to guide us and protect us;
may we continue to be gracious to others as we freely receive your grace;
may you continue to smile upon us;
and may you give us your shalom, your peace, your wholeness, your restoration, this day and always.
