New Year's in Hamamatsu

i went to go visit my friend dan over new year's. he's my friend here in kobe but as he went to hamamatsu to stay w/ his homestay family, he invited me out.

after watching the Red and White Song Festival on tv, we went over to the local shrine where its customary to go to pay respects for blessings over a new year.
