Mother's Day

i also had pics from the lutheran church we visited that i forgot to post...
pastor michaelson at the takarazuka lutheran church holds an international night at his church twice a month and he called me asking if i could share my testimony with them so after new hope finished (this was actually about a month ago now...) we met up w/ some of the guys at kbf and went over to their church. now ive been to a couple of lutheran services b/c ive been going to their seminary and but i knew this guy would be different. he preached at chapel one day and instead of the usual piano worship, he had his guitar; instead of the usual hymn worship, he had an overhead w/ lyrics of other songs...wasnt really hillsong, but it was different...i also have a friend who knew him and hes heavily into the workings of the Holy Spirit so when this pastor called me i jumped at the chance and it was truly a blessing to be there.
we walked in a little late as it was raining that night and we had trouble finding the place but there was about 20 college-aged kids singing light of the world and it was cool and after we walked in we continued to sing other contemporary worship songs. we then had coffee and cookies, i then shared a bit of myself and the pastor translated and then the pastor asked if we could then stand in the front and have people come forward to pray for them! now this is at a lutheran church!




we were all stoked that night and even looking back on that night, it was really cool because it was actually the core group of guys that we started the small group with which launched over the weekend, the night before pentacost.
so to our initial gathering we had 17 people show up. we shared our vision for the group and did a short intro teaching to the book of john. and so now w/ work, school and this small group, we'll see how involved i'll be w/ new hope...if at all, which is perfectly fine w/ me right now.
its gotten cold again in kobe after getting really hot last week...we were in t-shirts last week and now i had to bust out my blankets again...awww...
