Forgive Us

for we know not what we do
we build churches, buildings, organizations in your name, yet w/ tainted hands and hearts we create monuments of pride, selfishness, politics, strife, mercy, grace in the name of Jesus...we crucify you, we kill you daily, we nail you on the cross weekly, we come to you and seek you to only find you and crucify you, spit on you, and laugh b/c you endow us w/ grace and mercy...how easily we look at your word and easily laughmockridiculescorn the pharisees yet do the same in the same breath...we raise our hands to you, we say we seek you, we say we call upon you, we say we believe yet in the same breath we applaud our self-righteousness to seek our self-glorification
